Let’s Get Moving!

It always seems to get the better of us when we least expect it.  Now, I know for a fact that at this present moment in time, we are all suffering from stress.  Stress from tech, stress from tech work, stress from family and friends, boyfriend stress or even general stress from the world.  Sometimes, it even gets the best of us and makes us feel awful.

However, stress can actually be good for us at times.  Not too much of it however, this can lead to bad stress which is damaging to us as people and our health, but good stress is good for us.  After doing some research I found that our bodies actually require small doses of stress, this helps us to prepare ourselves for anything unexpected. Psychiatrist Dr. Lynne Tan of Montefiore Medical Center in New York City speaks about how our bodies use stress as a burst of energy and it basically gives our body a wakeup call letting us know what needs to be done.  Stress can at times be a motivator!

Basically what happens is our body creates fight or flight hormones and when something happens, the body pumps these hormones into our blood stream changing them into adrenaline. This then gets the heart pumping which makes our body more active and our senses sharp.  From here, our bodies are ready to take on any situation!

We always tend to think that stress is bad for us but sometimes it is good for our bodies to have that jolt of excitement, that crazy stress hormone which gets us up and going so that we can take on the world!
